There is a quote I love about one’s perspective and it goes like this: “If only our eyes saw souls instead of bodies, how very different our ideals of beauty would be.” Continue reading ““Stop To Smell The Roses”- To My Dad”
I want to share a little story about one of my recent eye opening experiences. This experience changed my outlook on others when in public, and really brought to my attention how selfish, short, and inconsiderate I had been. I’m ashamed to admit that’s how I was, but I want to share how I’ve grown. I’m not sharing this to get praise for my actions or anything like that, but because it really helped me grow as a person and I think it might help others, too. So most people who know me know that I’ve wanted a French Bulldog for as long as I can remember. I used to sit on the computer and research all different types of dogs because I wanted the best fit for me and my life style. I remember coming across the most adorable, squished, wrinkly, fat face on my computer screen and falling in love. I have wanted a Frenchie ever since!

Now all I had to do was come up with $2,000 and a French Bulldog baby was mine! Continue reading “First Puppy As a Couple- Our Story”
Spring Break 2K17 is right around the corner, and it has me pondering and reminiscing on how I’ve spent them during college. Freshman year, I just went home for a week because I was homesick. Sophomore year, I went to the Outer Banks with my best friends. Junior year, I went on a cruise in the Bahamas and soaked up the sun. But, last year was a spring break for the books and is one of my most favorites. Here’s what I wrote towards the end of my Senior year Spring Break: Continue reading “Spring Break 2K16”
I’ve recently written a paper about the relationship of children with their parents in literature. Authors so often use that relationship as some type of metaphor or symbol in their writing because it’s just so unique. There truly is no other type of relationship like it in the world. When I sit down and think that I am made up of two different people who love one another unconditionally and have spent my whole life trying to give me the best, I am overwhelmed and amazed.
